How to Apply Hopscotch Kids Water Based Nail Polish

Let’s look at how to apply Hopscotch Kids water based nail polish. Remember, always supervise children while they are using nail polish and remover!

Applying Hopscotch Kids Nail Polish:

You will need:

  • Jojoba oil
  • Nail buffer
  • Hopscotch Kids watercolors nail polish
  • Hopscotch Kids top coat

Steps:

The best time to apply a water based nail polish is before bed, to allow it to cure overnight.

  1. Get your kid to sit still for a bit.
  2. Remove any existing nail polish.
  3. Apply a drop of jojoba oil to each nail and buff. This will help hydrate the nails so that the polish will last longer.
  4. Wash hands to rinse buffing dust and remover residue.
  5. Apply 1-2 thin coats of polish. Allow about 3 minutes between coats to avoid streaking.
  6. Apply the clear or glittering top coat for a high gloss shine.
  7. Allow to dry for about 10 minutes.
  8. Avoid exposing to water for a few hours, or use a hair dryer on warm for a few minutes to cure the polish.

 

Removing Hopscotch Kids Nail Polish:

You will need:

  • Either Hopscotch Kids plant based or soy based remover. (Or Scotch Naturals remover.)

Steps:

  1. Soak nails in warm water for 5 minutes.
  2. Pre-moisten all nails with remover allowing time for polish to soften.
  3. Use cotton rounds soaked in remover to wipe off polish.
  4. You can also remove any remaining polish using an orange stick.
  5. After removal, thoroughly rinse nails.
